Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 1 chronicles 25:1 and 2 chronicles 29:30 add that. 2 wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 4 against thee, thee only, have i sinned, and done this evil in thy s. Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. This psalm is titled to the chief musician. Web psalm 51[ a] for the director of music. The title of this psalm ( a psalm of asaph) tells us that it is the first of asaph’s psalms in the order of the psalter. And my sin is ever before me. Have mercy upon me, o god, according to your lovingkindness;
4 against thee, thee only, have i sinned, and done this evil in thy s. The hebrew word esher is here translated blessed, which has the idea of happiness or contentment. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 3 for i acknowledge my transgressions: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Web 51 have mercy upon me, o god, according to thy lovingkindness: And my sin is ever before me.
